Rajasree Mukherjee is an Honors graduate in Zoology from Lady Brabourne College, Kolkata. She is trained in Rabindra Sangeet under Padmasree Suchitra Mitra and ranked first class first in her Diploma examination in Rabindra Sangeet from Rabi Tirtha Institution Kolkata and second all India basis, in her Sangeet Prabhakar graduation examination at Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. She is also a Sangeet Visharad from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh.

Settled in East Africa since 1990, Rajasree Mukherjee is one of the most popular singers there and has given numerous stage performances in Kenya, Tanzania, USA & Canada. She performed for India’s President Abdul Kalam during his African visit in 2004. Through her performances she has supported several charitable organizations in East Africa.

She has recorded a variety of music CDs including Bhajans, Patriotic Songs and Rabindra Sangeet.

She is a leading promoter of Music Therapy and has recorded several raga based meditation CDs. As an experienced Music Therapist she has used Indian Classical music to great effect in meditation techniques. She has conducted several workshops on music in Kenya widely covered by news media, Television and Radio. The Government of India has thrice honored her by awarding grants for promotion of Indian Culture abroad.
